Toke Makinwa Wore a Red Tweed Mini Dress to BN20Creator House
Toke Makinwa was one of the guests at the BellaNaija Next Gen Creator House. The event, known as #BN20CreatorHouse, happened in Lagos on June 25, 2026. It was a partnership between BellaNaija and Google Gemini, designed as a one-day workshop for young Nigerian creators aged 18 to 25.
The event was all about teaching them how to level up in content creation, storytelling, personal branding, and growing an audience. They also covered how to use AI responsibly as part of their toolkit. While the event was focused on the next generation, Toke’s outfit showed that she’s still a major style icon who knows how to steal everyone’s attention.

At the event, Toke wore a red tweed halter mini dress with a sharp, elongated collar and a plunging V-neckline by Nigerian designer Weizdhurm Franklyn. The textured fabric carried a simple white grid pattern, and the skirt had asymmetric draping that fell into a long side train finished with long red fringe.
Her hair was made into a full side-parted retro bob styled with soft, Hollywood waves that framed her face. For accessories, she carried a white smooth heart-shaped clutch held at the hip, and wore white-framed sunglasses. Her jewellery was metallic gold chain bracelets stacked on the right wrist, a silver watch and diamond stud earrings. Makinwa complemented her look with white pointed-toe stiletto pumps.

Toke definitely knows how to create a moment at creative events. Back in late March, she moderated a panel at Funke Akindele’s “Creative Blueprint Masterclass 2.0” in an oversized grey suit and layered jewelry, a bold look she captioned, “Call me Ms. Grey.” From sharp, structured power suits to the red tweed gown she wore at the BN20Creator House, Toke consistently proves she can easily shift her look to match the room while always maintaining her commanding presence.
