Mimi Yina, popularly known as Medlin Boss, attended Funke Bucknor-Obruthe’s 50th birthday celebration in a stylish outfit. The event honored one of Nigeria’s most respected names in event planning, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe been founder of Zapphaire Events. For an occasion this big, the stylist and CEO of Medlin Couture came dressed to match the event.

Medlin arrived in a two-piece consisting of an orange and white patterned A-line tunic layered over high-waisted, wide-leg white trousers. The tunic had a bold, abstract organic motif, styled wide open at the front to reveal a white collar and wide cuffs, giving it a tailored shirt-jacket look. Her hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, parted cleanly down the middle. She styled it with an architectural white headpiece.

Her accessories was a cream-coloured leather top-handle handbag with clean lines and gentle hardware. For jewelry, she wore chunky earrings and a gold watch. She completed her outfit with orange satin pointed-toe pumps with a flared heel and an ornate, glittering crystal sunburst brooch at the toe front

Medlin Boss has had her hands full lately too. Earlier this year, she was busy dressing Ini Edo in a black, off-the-shoulder Medlin Couture gown for the actress’s birthday shoot, and BamBam in a white lace gown for hers.

Funke Bucknor-Obruthe’s 50th was always going to draw out the best in Lagos fashion circles, given her standing as a pioneer in the events industry, and Medlin Boss did not disappoint.

Just days before the party, Medlin had worn a completely different look, a brown corset top with a red lip stitched onto the waist, a green and white striped skirt flaring out at the bottom, and green satin heels to match, plus a green and gold beaded bag. Nothing about that outfit looked like the clean orange and white combo she wore to the birthday celebration. One week she was giving simple and neat, the next she was giving loud and dramatic.
