Toke Makinwa Said the Sun Is Out, And Hertunba Was the Only Answer
Toke Makinwa has never been the one to dial it down when it comes to her fashion choices, she chooses her own direction, experimenting and exploring with new styles. The On-Air-Personality has been in Capetown since early April, and the star is clearly enjoying her time there from trying out new restaurants, to visiting luxury spots, and enjoying the beach. Toké took to her Instagram and shared her latest look with the caption “Finally a light day and the sun is out”

She wore a custom-made two-piece from Hertunba which was a structured, strapless ruffled bandeau top in a bright red and black horizontal stripe and paired with signature Ure woven high-waisted asymmetric maxi skirt with bold black and shiny silver vertical stripes, creating a sharp contrast with the top. Her hair was styled in long, deep-wave curls that flowed down her back, providing a balance to the sharp lines of the outfit. Her makeup included warm tones, and a nude glossy lip.

Makinwa styled her outfit with a classic Dior Saddle Bag in a matching cherry red matte calfskin, and a retro-inspired, chunky white-rimmed oval sunglasses, adding a chill-girl feel to the look. For jewellery, she wore layered silver-toned necklace with charms that complemented the metallic tones of her skirt. For her shoes, although mostly hidden by the long skirt, she went with a strappy black heeled sandals.

Comparing this to her look at the launch Glow by TM body shimmer oil, Toke walked in wearing a pink satin safari-print slip dress with a deep burgundy wrap over her shoulders, that felt easy to style. Bold stripes, big volume, and nothing held back. But somehow how, both look came with the same attitude and balance. That is what makes her interesting, she is not boxed into one style.
