Barry became the Week 8 Head of House after defeating Keivo in the final stage of the challenge. The competition went through several rounds before the pair reached the final, where Barry secured the win.

His victory came with the Ultimate Veto Power, giving him control over a key part of the week’s nomination process. Big Brother also announced that Barry had secured the first place in the Season 11 finale. He chose Keivo as his HoH Loft guest, while Bells was named the week’s Bench Warmer.

The Ultimate Veto Power changed the usual nomination process. Instead of the regular format, eligible housemates were given the chance to speak directly to Barry and explain why they believed they should be saved.

After listening to them, Barry chose Aikou. The decision kept both Barry and Aikou out of the Week 8 public vote, while the remaining housemates waited to find out who would be up for eviction.

Barry’s choice left 11 housemates facing the public vote. They are Chimsom Chuka, Tram, Temi Nkem, Keivo, Ricky, Sheba, Yusuf, Bells, Flora, Oyin and Bluethopia.

With Barry and Aikou protected, the 11 nominees now need public support to remain in the competition. The nominations also came as several housemates were dealing with disagreements of their own.

Bluethopia admitted that Barry’s decision hurt her and later spoke to Oyin about it. She recalled that Barry had previously described her as his favourite person in the house, so she struggled to understand why he did not choose her when given the chance to save someone.

Temi Nkem also became emotional during her Diary Room session while talking about the outcome. She later approached Barry and apologised for holding a grudge over his decision.

Bells and Yusuf Revisit Their Relationship

Bells and Yusuf spent part of the week discussing their relationship and where they currently stood. Bells told Yusuf she wanted him to make it clear to other housemates that they were no longer together whenever conversations about her came up.

Yusuf maintained that they were no longer exclusive, but the conversation continued as they addressed some of the issues between them. Bells later admitted that she still liked him and did not want their relationship to turn into hostility while they remained in the house.

Chimsom Chuka and Bluethopia also had an uncomfortable conversation during the week. Chimsom Chuka expressed frustration over the distance between them and felt Bluethopia had been spending more time with other housemates while their own situation remained unresolved.

He later spoke to Sheba about the issue and said he had considered cancelling a planned movie date with Bluethopia.

Oyin confronted Yusuf after hearing about a comment he made concerning her interaction with Tram. Yusuf had commented that seeing Oyin get water for Tram surprised him, while Oyin felt the remark made it seem as though Tram had asked her to do it.

Tram and Ricky were also part of the conversation as Oyin explained why the comment had upset her. She said the interaction had been misunderstood and asked the housemates not to read more into it than what had happened.

Housemates Win the Week 8 Wager

The housemates presented their Week 8 wager, based on a Nigerian adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. They spent several days rehearsing, preparing costumes and working on their respective roles before the presentation.

Big Brother declared them winners after the performance, giving the housemates a win after they lost the previous week’s wager. They celebrated the result before moving on to the other activities lined up for the week.

With the Week 8 wager settled and 11 housemates up for possible eviction, attention now shifts to the next live show, where the public vote will decide who remains in the competition.
