If there is one print that continues to hold its place in Nigerian fashion, it is the polka dot. The tricky part is knowing how to actually style them without looking like someone in a costume. Luckily, these five celebrities have offered us styling preferences and each look is worth highlighting.

Two-Piece — Phina

Phina wore a high-neck, long-sleeved blouse in white with black polka dots. It featured big slightly balloon-style sleeves and a structured, mock-neck collar. She paired it with matching high-waisted shorts in the same white and black polka dot print, creating a coordinated set look. She added a sharp red wool beret that added and a small textured red clutch. Her hair was styled in a smooth, chin-length black bob with straight-cut bangs.

Printed Top — Marvella

Marvella limited the polka dot print to her top and let everything else do the talking. She wore a white asymmetric one-shoulder top with large red polka dots and layered a white and grey fur vest over it. She paired the look with wide-leg light blue denim jeans, red pointed-toe heels, and a red fringed shoulder bag. For accessories, she wore multiple gold rings, a watch, and rounded up with a black sunglasses

Polka Dots Midi Skirt — Grandy Kat

In Paris, Grandy stepped out in a black ribbed turtleneck sweater with long sleeves. The close-fitting knit served as a fitted base layer. She paired it with a black and white polka dot midi skirt, which had a satin-like finish and a slight flare at the hem. Her accessories included rectangular black sunglasses and a small black shoulder bag. For jewellery, gold earrings and a matching watch. To complete her look, she wore black flip-flops.

Polka Dot Shoes — Diana Eneje

Diana Eneje took a different direction letting her shoes carry the print. She wore a corset-style bodice defined by visible seaming and a classic sweetheart neckline, creating a sharply tailored, feminine shape. For contrast, black ribbon straps were on the shoulders, tied into dainty, trailing bows. The dress then transitions into a full midi skirt where heavy pleating created a sculptural bubble effect. To enhance her outfit, she wore black-and-white polka dot heels with matching ribbons wrapped around the ankle, echoing the bow details of the bodice. Diana styled her look with a smooth side-parted wave and a silver tennis bracelet.

Gown — Chioma Ikokwu

Chioma wore a black and white polka dot Zara playsuit with a deep V-neckline, halter neck, and a ruffled hem. She styled the look with accessories including a wide-brimmed straw boater hat with a black ribbon band and a mini Lady Dior bag in bright cherry red leather, which provided a pop of colour against the monochrome outfit. For jewellery, she wore gold statement bangles. To complete her outfit she chose classic white pointed-toe heels.

Polka dots don’t need a special occasion. Whether you go all in with a dress or just test the print through a shoe or a top, the dot has a way of making any outfit look evenly styled. These five women are proof of that.
