Temilade Openiyi known as Tems has just collaborated with the Hennessey Teams to launch her own powerful initiative – Leading Vibe Initiative(LVI) in her hometown, Lagos.

This was held on the 8th and 9th of August, 2025 in Lagos and it has already made history.

This initiative was born from her self-taught and inspired by her groundbreaking work in the music industry. Tems have decided to use this initiative to empower women, especially to do more in and out of the music industry, and globally (beyond Africa)

The just launched initiative is here to stay and it’s mostly rooting for women who are ready to break boundaries, embrace and groom their voice, carry themselves with pride and joy, and move without fears.

The initiative is here to support, connect and amplify women in music and across Africa. It is here to offer mentorship, training, industry access, and premium community for women in music.

This is beyond a platform – it is a movement set to break odd boundaries and see women become more.

Its aim is to raise the next generation of female artists, songwriters, producers, and more – to empower women, their voice, strength and crown their efforts without minimal price.

This initiative itself is inspiring and it’s here to play a wonderful role in seeing that women in the industry and beyond are rewarded for their efforts. It is endearing seeing a woman rooting for women and ready to groom their voice beyond just a stage and see them take the mic to the global stage.

The weekend was all about fairytales, happy endings, and everything we dream of when planning our big day—and that’s exactly what Davido and Chioma’s Miami wedding delivered, leaving us wrapped in that magical, fairytale feeling. On August 10th, they walked down the aisle in a luxurious celebration in Miami.

The setting had all the luxury and elegance you can imagine. In a video shared on social media, Davido states, “I have spent $3.7 million cash, so we should know what we are doing, we are going crazy.” The atmosphere was nothing short of perfection.

This ceremony, theme #Chivido 2025, marks their third wedding ceremony after a court marriage in March 2023, followed by traditional wedding in June 2024.

The guests were under strict instructions to dress in black tie or evening gown—with one exception: no white or cream allowed. The rule was to keep the spotlight on the groom and bride.

Chioma arrived in a Rolls-Royce Black Badge Mansory Edition worth over 1 billion, Davido made his appearance in a White Lamborghini Revuelto. During the ceremony, she opted for a sleek, long-sleeve bodycon gown with little marble neck detailing, while Davido was dressed in a brown suit. At the reception, she switched into a white mini dress, layered under a flowy cape-cinching at the knees into soft chiffon.

For the afterparty, she glowed in a crystal-covered gown with off-shoulder straps made from floral appliqué. Her husband, on the other hand, looked dashing in a bright pink suit.

Davido surprised Chioma with a Richard Mille wristwatch, factory-diamond edition—valued at around $300,000. Yes, you read that right.

He left fans in awe after he presented this valuable gift. He was also spotted wearing a brand-new Richard Mille watch on his wrist alongside cufflinks with the image of their late son, Ifeanyi engraved in it. It was a gentle reminder that even in the midst of the joyous occasion, he’s not forgotten.

The union

One of the sweetest highlights? That moment Davido kissed Chioma at the altar, was a sight to behold. While congratulating the couple, the Nigerian pastor who joined the union made a playful yet remarkable statement reminding Davido how marriage comes with new responsibilities and with a grin said “Tell all the girls you’re unavailable,” sending the couple and the guest into a burst of laughter.

Many powerful Nigerian influence were all present to witness this event. People like the Richest black man, Aliko Dangote, Billionaire Chief Ikuku Michael, Osun state governor Ademola Adeleke and so many other Chairmans and CEOs.
