Big Brother Naija Season 11’s fifth week saw Chimsom Chuka return as Head of House, a new nomination format and growing disagreements over how some housemates were handling their responsibilities.

The weekly wager also became a major talking point. Ricky and Tram opted out of the presentation, Biggie was unhappy with how the housemates handled his instructions and temporarily stopped speaking to them directly. Meanwhile, Aikou and Flora had another Gambit mission to complete, while the housemates still made time for their weekly pool party.

Chimsom Chuka Wins Head of House Again

Chimsom Chuka became Head of House for the second time this season on Monday, August 24, after defeating Gerard in the final head-to-head contest. His first HoH victory came in the opening week, and this latest win again secured his immunity from eviction.

The position also came with the power to influence the nomination process.

Biggie Changes the Nomination Process

Week 5 introduced a different nomination format. Instead of simply naming housemates they wanted out, the contestants were asked to publicly choose two people they wanted to save and explain their reasons.

The change forced the housemates to make their preferences known in front of everyone, putting friendships and alliances under greater scrutiny. After the nominations, powers and immunities were taken into account, 14 housemates remained in contention for the public vote.

The 14 housemates currently facing possible eviction are Araga, Barry, Bells, Bluethopia, Gerard, Goddessa, Keivo, Nomy, Oyin, Ricky, Sultex, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf.

They are now relying on the public vote to determine who stays in the competition. With 14 names on the list, the eventual result could change the makeup of the house going into the following week.

Chimsom Uses His Power to Save Sheba

Sheba emerged as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the new nomination format after receiving the highest number of save votes during the nomination face-off. That made her eligible for protection from the Head of House.

Chimsom then used his veto power on her, taking her off the list of possible eviction candidates. The move also offered viewers another look at the relationships that could influence Chimsom’s decisions as the game progresses.

Five Housemates Are Safe

Five housemates are protected from the Week 5 eviction. Chimsom is safe because of his Head of House position, while Sheba was removed from the eviction list through his veto power.

Abi is also immune after being named the Most Influential Player of Week 4. Aikou and Flora remain protected because of their status as the season’s Gambits.

The Gambits have a guaranteed place in the finale, but they are not eligible to win the ₦160 million grand prize.

Aikou and Flora Receive Another Gambit Mission

Aikou and Flora’s unusual role continued this week when Biggie assigned the pair another secret mission. Biggie separately instructed both housemates to convince the other that they were developing genuine romantic feelings for them. They had to carry out the task while the other housemates focused on nominations, rehearsals and the weekly wager.

Their position in the game remains different from that of the other contestants. As Gambits, they must complete Biggie’s assignments while keeping their activities from interfering with the wider game.

The Wager Presentation Goes Wrong

The week’s biggest setback came during the wager presentation. Ricky and Tram did not take part after sitting out the rehearsals, leaving the rest of the housemates to deal with their absence during a task that required group participation.

The house eventually lost the wager. The decision by Ricky and Tram became a subject of discussion afterwards, with some housemates questioning why they chose not to participate in an assignment that involved everyone.

Biggie Stops Speaking Directly to the House

The situation became more tense after Biggie took issue with the housemates’ conduct. He warned them over what he considered a disregard for his instructions and disrespect towards him before stopping direct communication with the house.

A Ninja was then used to deliver Biggie’s instructions instead. The change immediately caught the housemates’ attention, and they later discussed what they needed to do to get Biggie speaking to them directly again.

Ricky and Tram Remain Part of the Drama

The disagreement over the wager continued even after the presentation. Ricky and Tram had already distanced themselves from the rehearsals, and their decision remained a topic of conversation among the other housemates.

Tram, in particular, made it clear that he was no longer interested in getting caught up in alliances or house politics. He was prepared to deal with whatever consequences came with his choices, including the possibility of eviction, as the housemates became more aware of how their relationships could affect their positions in the game.

Cassi has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11, after spending four weeks in the house, during the Week 4 live eviction show on Sunday, August 23, 2026, making him the only housemate to leave during the live show.

Cassi was among eight housemates nominated for eviction in Week Four. The others were Araga, Gerard, Goddessa, Nomy, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf. When the voting results were announced, Cassi received 5.27% of the total votes, Goddessa who polled 6.76%, and Nomy who recorded 10.84%. Following Cassi’s eviction, Big Brother announced Abi as the Most Influential Player of the Week.

The 27-year-old whose real name is Ezenwoke Nwosu, entered the show as an entrepreneur. Before entering the “Show Ya Sef” house, Cassi said he had experienced a difficult period in his life and viewed Big Brother Naija as an opportunity to change his circumstances. He listed drawing, painting and chiropractic therapy among his talents and described himself as highly organised, while acknowledging that the trait could sometimes irritate people around him.

During his time in the house, Cassi was involved in several of activities.

His final week also produced one of his strongest individual performances. Cassi won the Friday Night Arena Games in Week 4, recording the fastest time in the challenge.

Responding to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during the live show, he explained that his experience came with rapidly changing emotions, noting that he could feel happy at one moment and sad the next. He also revealed that he intends to take his acting career more seriously after leaving the show.

Team Neche has reacted to the reality star’s sudden departure from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house, describing the decision as difficult but asking fans to support her decision to leave.

Neche voluntarily exited the competition on Sunday, August 16, 2026, shortly after the live eviction show. She gathered her fellow housemates and informed them that she had decided to withdraw from the competition. The organisers later confirmed that her decision was prompted by pressing personal matters that required her immediate attention. The nature of those matters has not been disclosed.

Two days after her departure, Team Neche released an official statement addressing her supporters and reflecting on her short stay in the house. The team acknowledged that the exit was not what they had expected when she entered the competition.

According to the statement, Neche went into the house with the intention of giving the competition her best and staying until the end. During the three weeks she spent on the show, her team said she developed a strong connection with viewers and became a housemate many people supported.

“Neche was a worthy competitor,” the team said, pointing to her drive, personality and intelligence as qualities that could have taken her further in the competition.

The team also recognised the disappointment among fans who had hoped to see Neche remain in the competition. Some supporters, it said, had already begun to picture her making it to the finale and possibly winning the season.

Team Neche urged supporters to see her decision as a difficult choice rather than a failure. The team said the same resolve Neche displayed inside the house was behind her decision to leave when circumstances outside the show demanded her attention.
