Gerard has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house after spending six weeks in the “Show Ya Sef” edition. His journey came to an end during the sixth live eviction show on Sunday, September 6, 2026, making him the eighth housemate to leave the competition. His eviction was announced by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Gerard was among 15 housemates placed on the possible eviction list in Week Six. The others were Aikou, Araga, Barry, Bells, Bluethopia, Chimsom Chuka, Flora, Keivo, Nomy, Oyin, Ricky, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf. Abi, who won the Week Six Head of House title, and Sheba, the Most Influential Player of the previous week, were safe from eviction. Gerard’s exit came after the previous week’s double eviction, which saw Sultex and Goddessa leave the competition.

During his final week, Gerard came close to securing the Head of House title. He reached the deciding stage of the Week Six Head of House challenge but was defeated by Abi, who went on to claim the position.

The 23-year-old, whose full name is Gerard Adebija, entered the show as an actor, radio host, presenter and content creator. A Lagos-based media personality, he described himself as a “wild card” and said he joined Big Brother Naija for the opportunity to meet new people and have new experiences. His hobbies include gaming and reading, while he also lists rapping, singing, acting, speaking and writing among his talents.

During his six weeks in the house, Gerard became known for his direct opinions and his approach to the different conflicts playing out around him. In the days leading to his eviction, Biggie asked him which housemate he would remove if he had the power to make the decision. Gerard chose Nomy, saying she had had bad blood with people in the house from the beginning.

Speaking to Ebuka after his eviction, Gerard said he had seen his exit coming after his name was called during the house crossing. He also addressed the politics within the house, explaining that the situation had become intense but that he had chosen not to play that way. After exchanging hugs with the remaining housemates, Gerard took a bow before leaving the Big Brother house, bringing his six-week run on the show to an end.

Big Brother Naija Season 11 entered its sixth week with tension already building in the house. Abi returned as Head of House, Flora and Aikou were released from their Gambit roles, and Biggie introduced a nomination twist that put almost every housemate up for possible eviction. Abi began Week 6 with another Head of House victory on August 31, defeating Gerard in the final round to claim the title for the second time this season. She became the first female housemate in the “Show Ya Sef” house to win the HoH title twice. The win also came with a change to the usual arrangement, as the Head of House Loft also became the HoH’s direct privilege, replacing the previous Lucky Dip arrangement.

But being in charge did not make things easier for Abi. She soon had disagreements with some housemates, including Flora and Nomy. By Day 40, Abi was already struggling to get the housemates to follow her instructions. With almost the entire house also facing possible eviction, disagreements over her leadership became harder to avoid.

Biggie Changes the Game for the Gambits

Week 6 began with Flora and Aikou being released from their Gambit roles and reinstated as full contestants, making them eligible to compete for the grand prize with the rest of the house. They could also be nominated and put up for public voting.

The decision ended the separate arrangement that had kept Flora and Aikou on a different path from the other contestants. From then on, they were subject to the same eviction process as everyone else. Their position in the competition was no longer protected by the Gambit setup.

Everyone Except Abi and Sheba Faces Possible Eviction

Biggie introduced another nomination twist, nullifying the usual saves and leaving only Abi, as Head of House, and Sheba, as Most Influential Player of the Week, safe from possible eviction. The other housemate was placed on the public voting list.

The decision changed the atmosphere in the house almost immediately. Instead of a small group preparing for the eviction show, nearly everyone had to worry about their place in the competition. Flora and Aikou were also part of the public voting process as regular housemates for the first time since their Gambit roles ended.

Abi, Flora and Nomy Clash

Abi’s return to power came with confrontations involving other housemates. On Day 36, she clashed with Flora and Nomy separately, adding to the tension in the house.

The disagreements also put Abi’s leadership under scrutiny. She was expected to keep the house organised while the other contestants were dealing with the pressure of possible eviction. As a result, arguments over instructions and cooperation quickly became personal.

Oyin and Temi Nkem’s Feud Refuses to Die

The disagreement between Oyin and Temi Nkem also followed them into the new week. On Day 38, the two argued again after Oyin mentioned Temi Nkem while speaking with Aikou.

They later sat down to discuss what had happened, with Africa Magic highlighting the conversation as they tried to address the disagreement. For a moment, it looked as though they might finally settle the issue, but the conversation did not completely erase the tension between them.

Wager Rehearsals Become Another Battleground

Wager preparations created another argument on Day 38 when Oyin and Flora clashed with Abi and Temi Nkem during rehearsals. The disagreement quickly became heated, with the four housemates exchanging words during preparations.

The rehearsals also produced one of the week’s more amusing exchanges. Flora and Temi Nkem disagreed over the phrase “local birds,” with Flora questioning Temi Nkem’s Nigerian identity and Temi responding by speaking her dialect. Instead of ending with the rehearsal, however, the exchange came up again in conversations the following day.

Flora Revisits the “Local Birds” Comment

On Day 39, Flora confronted Chimsom Chuka over the earlier “local birds” conversation. She accused him of being involved, but Chimsom denied being present and told her not to assume that he had taken part.

The exchange showed that the rehearsal argument had not been forgotten. Even with wager preparations and eviction concerns taking up most of the housemates’ attention, the earlier comment was still causing fresh disagreements. Flora was still unhappy about the situation, while Chimsom maintained that he had nothing to do with it.

Nomy Gets a “Bucket of Consequences”

Nomy had her own memorable encounter with Biggie on Day 38 after receiving what Big Brother called a “Bucket of Consequences.” Her punishment was to separate beans and rice grain by grain after Biggie addressed the house.

Unlike the week’s bigger confrontations, Nomy’s punishment provided a lighter moment. Still, it became one of the more unusual incidents of Week 6, especially in a house already dealing with arguments and the pressure of the eviction list.

The House Wins the Wager, Then the Celebration Causes More Drama

The house eventually won its wager, but the victory did not end the arguments. Flora and Oyin questioned why Abi, Bluethopia, Chimsom Chuka and Sheba were not celebrating more enthusiastically. Their comments sparked another disagreement among the housemates, with tensions surrounding Abi, Oyin and Flora still evident.

New Connections Keep Things Interesting

Not every moment in Week 6 was about arguments. Bluethopia and Chimsom Chuka shared a warm moment in the garden, while Tram continued his playful exchanges with Temi Nkem.

Bells and Yusuf also shared a lighter moments after some tension. On Day 39, Bells moved away from Yusuf’s bed, but he woke her and asked her to return. Moments like these showed that while disagreements were common in the house, relationships were still shifting between the more serious confrontations.

By Day 40, almost every housemate was facing possible eviction, while several disagreements remained unresolved. With the weekend approaching, tensions over leadership, relationships and the wager were still playing out across the house.

Sultex and Goddessa have been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house, becoming the sixth and seventh housemates to leave the competition.

Their exits came during the fifth live eviction show on Sunday, August 30, as host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced Sultex’s eviction before Goddessa was also evicted. Both housemates spent five weeks in the competition, having entered the house when the season premiered on July 26.

The public voting results placed Sultex at 4.77 per cent, while Goddessa received 5.02 per cent. Bells, who was also up for eviction, polled 5.22 per cent and managed to stay in the competition. The three were among the 14 housemates placed on the public voting list during Week Five.

Week Five brought a change to the usual nomination process. Rather than naming housemates they wanted to evict, the contestants were asked to choose those they wanted to save. Goddessa, Sheba and Aikou received the highest number of save votes. However, Head of House Chimsom Chuka exercised his veto power to save Sheba, leaving Goddessa among the housemates still at risk of public eviction.

For Sultex, the eviction came just a day after a heated confrontation involving him, Yusuf and Bells. The disagreement started between Sultex and Bells before Yusuf joined the exchange. The argument grew heated and nearly became physical. Following the incident, Big Brother placed Sultex on behavioural probation and gave him a final warning after describing some of his remarks as extremely dangerous.

The dancer, choreographer, casting director and filmmaker had earlier enjoyed one of his biggest moments in the competition when he was named the Most Influential Player of Week Three. The recognition came with immunity from the following eviction and a reward.

Goddessa, whose real name is Lovette Okechukwu Amaka, was involved in several intense conversations during her stay, particularly around her developing relationship with Araga.

Speaking with Ebuka after her eviction, Goddessa opened up about her feelings for Araga. She said she cared about him but felt there were too many expectations surrounding their relationship. According to her, she wanted both of them to have their own individual journeys outside the house. She also made it clear that leaving the show would not stop her music career, as she plans to return to making and promoting her work as a singer and songwriter.

With Sultex and Goddessa out of the competition, 17 housemates remain as the “Show Ya Sef” edition enters its sixth week, competing for the Season 11 grand prize of ₦160 million.
