Ini Edo Commands Attention in Luxurious Trish O Couture for HRM Saelegushi’s 15th Coronation Anniversary
Recently, Nollywood’s screen goddess Ini Edo reminded everyone why she remains a timeless fashion muse as she graced the 15th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty HRM Saelegushi. Dressed in a bold and beautifully structured outfit by @trishocouture, Ini didn’t just show up, she arrived with the full force of elegance, confidence, and cultural pride.
A Statement Fit for Royalty
Her outfit was a masterclass in African luxury fashion. The black fabric had a luxurious, glossy texture that shimmered subtly under the light, like silk but richer, fuller. It flowed elegantly to the floor, maintaining a powerful silhouette that was both regal and effortlessly feminine. What truly elevated the design was the geometric motif: carefully crafted metallic gold triangle appliqués scattered across the ensemble and concentrated toward the hem, creating a stunning visual rhythm that drew the eye from top to bottom.
The sleeve design deserves a moment of its own. With wide, exaggerated sleeves that framed her silhouette, the outfit gave a nod to traditional agbada elegance, but with a fiercely modern twist. Underneath, the sleeves were accented with black lace, softly revealing her arms beneath the sheer fabric and adding a layer of delicate sensuality to the otherwise bold ensemble. It’s the kind of detailing that whispers luxury without having to scream it.

Accessorizing with Intention
Ini chose accessories with the same precision she applies to her red-carpet looks. In her hand, she held a mint green structured handbag with gold accents, a bold yet refreshing contrast to the black-and-gold outfit. The bag’s sleek box shape and chain detail added that perfect pop of contemporary edge to her look.
She didn’t just wear jewellery, she wore statements. Her dangling pearl earrings caught the light with every turn of her head, complimenting her overall grace and bringing a soft contrast to the fierce geometry of her outfit.

Hair, Makeup & The Full Glam Effect
Her hair was styled in a sleek, pulled-back ponytail, dyed in a deep burgundy hue that beautifully complemented her skin tone and added a touch of fire to the entire ensemble. It was styled straight and neat, cascading down her back like royalty in motion.
Makeup by @bare2beauty was nothing short of flawless. She wore bold lashes, expertly blended shadows, and a sculpted contour that framed her face like art. Her lips glistened in a nude gloss, letting her eyes do all the talking. The entire glam look was soft yet striking, designed to elevate, not distract.

Posing with Presence
Ini’s poses were a study in intentional grace. In one frame, she stands tall against a muted green backdrop, her hand elegantly poised in the air, chin lifted with the confidence of a woman who knows her power. The photo doesn’t just capture the outfit, it captures a mood. In another photo, she strikes a cooler tone with black sunglasses, a cheeky smirk, and a colourful strip of aso-oke fabric casually slung over one arm. That piece, with its traditional stripes in green, yellow, and navy, felt like a subtle homage to Yoruba royalty, a respectful nod to the occasion.

Her caption was simple but meaningful:
“About last night stepped out to honour his royal majesty hrm Saelegushi on his 15 years coronation anniversary.”
Short, warm, and respectful, just like a true queen acknowledging another royal.
In a world where fashion can sometimes feel loud and chaotic, Ini Edo’s look was a reminder of the power of quiet opulence. She fused tradition and modernity, softness and strength, glam and culture, and the result was breathtaking. It wasn’t just an outfit, it was a statement. And Nigerians, as always, are here for it.

Chioma Ikokwu Chooses Refined Cream Tailoring for Event on Nigerian Real-Life Stories
Yesterday April 17, 2026, Chioma Ikokwu attended an event organised by her father, Chief Agunze Chib Ikokwu, through his foundation. The evening centred on real-life stories from the Nigerian-Biafran War, and the attendees alone would tell you everything about the kind of room it was. Dr. Patrick Dele Cole, OFR, former Nigerian Ambassador and renowned historian, chaired the occasion. Osita Chidoka, OFR, former Minister of Aviation, served as book reviewer. Professor Pat Utomi was among the speakers, Onyeka Onwenu, and Charly Boy was also in attendance. When it was Chioma’s turn to speak In her own words she said:
“Disappeared again, and people hesitated, unsure, then slowly, cautiously activity resumed. There was a sense, perhaps hope that the danger had passed, but within moments, the sound returned louder, closer. There was confusion, movements, people trying to gather their things to leave quickly. I moved instinctively, searching for somewhere, anywhere, for cover. Then just as suddenly as it had begun, it was over. The silence that followed was unlike anything I had ever known. It was heavy, unreal, as though the world itself had paused. Slowly people began to emerge, faces searching, voices uncertain. I walked forward trying to make sense of what had just happened, and then I saw her again.”

At the event, Chioma arrived wearing a structured, cream-colored two-piece suit. The jacket had a clean, minimalist neckline with a subtle keyhole detail and structured shoulders. It was fitted at the waist with a matching tonal belt that had a gold buckle, emphasizing on her shape. Chioma paired the jacket with matching high-waisted, wide-leg trousers that elongate her frame. Chioma’s hair was styled in a full side-parted bob with curled-under ends, a signature look that complemented the structured nature of her outfit. Her makeup featured long lashes, a simple smokey eye, and a neutral, glossy lip. For accessories, she carried a Hermès Kelly classic white top-handle bag, for jewellery she chose a chunky gold curb-link chain necklace and matching gold stud earrings, adding a warm touch to the monochromatic palette and she completed the outfit with patterned, pointed-toe heels.

Compared to the outfits she wore for the Premiere of “The Return of Arinzo” earlier this year, from the deep burgundy velvet corset and skirt, to the beaded halterneck gown in swirls of gold, red, orange, and green, to a black embroidered cape with cowrie shell detailing, the Nigerian-Biafran War real-life stories event called for something completely different. She went with cream, and clean tailoring.
