Toke Makinwa Wore a Red Tweed Mini Dress to BN20Creator House
Toke Makinwa was one of the guests at the BellaNaija Next Gen Creator House. The event, known as #BN20CreatorHouse, happened in Lagos on June 25, 2026. It was a partnership between BellaNaija and Google Gemini, designed as a one-day workshop for young Nigerian creators aged 18 to 25.
The event was all about teaching them how to level up in content creation, storytelling, personal branding, and growing an audience. They also covered how to use AI responsibly as part of their toolkit. While the event was focused on the next generation, Toke’s outfit showed that she’s still a major style icon who knows how to steal everyone’s attention.

At the event, Toke wore a red tweed halter mini dress with a sharp, elongated collar and a plunging V-neckline by Nigerian designer Weizdhurm Franklyn. The textured fabric carried a simple white grid pattern, and the skirt had asymmetric draping that fell into a long side train finished with long red fringe.
Her hair was made into a full side-parted retro bob styled with soft, Hollywood waves that framed her face. For accessories, she carried a white smooth heart-shaped clutch held at the hip, and wore white-framed sunglasses. Her jewellery was metallic gold chain bracelets stacked on the right wrist, a silver watch and diamond stud earrings. Makinwa complemented her look with white pointed-toe stiletto pumps.

Toke definitely knows how to create a moment at creative events. Back in late March, she moderated a panel at Funke Akindele’s “Creative Blueprint Masterclass 2.0” in an oversized grey suit and layered jewelry, a bold look she captioned, “Call me Ms. Grey.” From sharp, structured power suits to the red tweed gown she wore at the BN20Creator House, Toke consistently proves she can easily shift her look to match the room while always maintaining her commanding presence.

Veekee James Shows the Power of Shape and Proportion
Not every outfit needs extra details to get noticed. Veekee James proves that with her latest look, which is all about shape and fit. The blouse adds volume to the upper body, while the waist is pulled in to create a more defined shape. She pairs it with wide-leg black trousers that balance everything out, making the outfit feel well put together from top to bottom.

She wore the Neptunes Female Clothing pleated organza blouse with bold fuchsia, rose, and white vertical stripes. The high neckline and sculptural fan-like sleeves give the top its striking shape, while a pink rope belt cinches the waist before flowing into a peplum finish. She paired it with slim-fitting, floor-skimming black wide-leg trousers from Shop Esnow, allowing the clean lines below to balance the volume of the blouse.
Veekee styled her hair in long honey-blonde waves with a centre part by Adefunkeee, while Onyx Mua kept her makeup warm and fresh. Her accessories stayed within the outfit’s colour story instead of competing with it. The hot pink textured Luxe Xtra clutch picked up the pink tones in the blouse, while the chunky gold teardrop earrings and wide metallic cuff bracelet added warmth that worked well with the outfit. Black pointed-toe heels completed her look.

Earlier this month, Veekee James spoke openly about being selective with the clients she chooses to work with, saying she prioritises the right fit over financial gain. The look comes at a time when she continues to present a clear and confident personal style, with structured pieces remaining a consistent part of her wardrobe.
Just months after welcoming her daughter, Eliana, in May, Veekee has been gradually returning to public appearances in looks that reflect the style she is known for. This outfit is another example of how she uses shape, fit and proportion to create a look that feels fresh and balanced.

Butter Yellow Trousers Get Nelly Mbonu’s Vote
Nelly Mbonu picked butter yellow trousers for her latest look, and it’s a colour that can be tricky to style for daytime looks. She paired it with a polka-dot blazer and sharp accessories to keep the outfit from feeling too simple.

She wore a beige blazer in a black polka-dot print, sleeves rolled up to the elbows. Beneath the unbuttoned blazer, she wore a black cropped bralette with a sheer mesh panel down the center. Her top was paired with high-waisted, wide-leg trousers in a pale yellow hue, with warm tones instead of strong contrast.
Her accessories included a navy blue, quilted leather flap handbag and a pair of thick, black-rimmed cat-eye glasses. For jewellery, she chose drop earrings featuring tiered white pearl clusters, along with a chunky gold bracelet on her left wrist. She rounded off her outfit with silver peep-toe wedges peeking out beneath the long trousers.

The butter yellow trousers were paired with a tailored blazer and finished off with sharp glasses and a boxy bag, working to lift the look and ensuring the outfit didn’t feel too casual. Her recent dinner gown took the complete opposite approach. The one-shoulder cream and rust tie-dye gown that hugged the body from the chest to the ankle had no layering.

The styling on this outfit and a smooth updo were the only elements that completed the look and brought the outfit to life. One relies on multiple pieces to build the outfit while the other relies on a single, body-hugging gown to carry out the look. Both outfits show that she can choose the styling approach based on the occasion rather than a consistent styling method.

Kola Omotoso Breaks the Menswear Rule in a Pink Suit
Kola Omotoso recently shared photos from his 30th birthday shoot on Instagram wearing a double-breasted pink suit, a colour not often seen in classic menswear. He captioned the post, “Good morning, 30,” alongside the hashtag #ThirtywithKola.
He chose a pastel pink double-breasted suit paired with a crisp white dress shirt. The jacket featured white buttons and peaked lapels, while his high-waisted, wide-leg trousers flowed down to the floor. A large cream-coloured bow-tie scarf at the collar became the standout detail of the outfit. The suit was designed by Emmy Kasbit, while Yomo Daj handled the styling.

His hair was cut in a faded buzz style with a clean lineup along the forehead. He accessorized with rectangular rimless sunglasses featuring blue-to-purple gradient lenses. A metallic ring, gold bracelet, and watch completed the look. He paired everything with dark burgundy leather dress shoes finished with a simple square-toe design. The images were captured by photographer Chuchuojekwe.
Beyond the photoshoot, Kola has also been making public appearances. Last week, he joined fellow former BBNaija housemates Doyin David, DJ Flo, and Uriel at the media launch for BBNaija Season 11, where they discussed life after reality TV. During the conversation, Kola said the show gave him visibility, but staying relevant afterwards takes hard work, passion, and consistency.

Since leaving the house, Kola has secured partnerships with brands including Budweiser, Singleton, Itel, and Bet Naija. He has also walked the runway at Lagos Fashion Week.
Just days before sharing the birthday photos, Kola posted another outfit from TKO Lagos, wearing a white tie-neck shirt with black trousers and captioning it, “Just me and a clean fit.” Compared with the birthday look, the styling was much more restrained. Side by side, the two outfits highlighted his ability to move between casual and statement-making looks.
