Ini Edo traveled to Abuja to celebrate her big brother Captain Ekong’s 60th birthday, and she showed up dressed for the occasion. She captioned the post “Captain Ekong @60,” adding that since she was celebrating a fashionista, she “had to bring a little extra spice.”

Ayra Starr just landed her first movie role in Children of Blood and Bone, and she marked the moment at New York Fashion Week in a sheer royal-purple LaQuan Smith maxi dress for the film’s event, captioning the photos “Feeling purple in LaQuan Smith x Children of Blood and Bone.”

The dress had a sheer bodice built into a high-neck silhouette, with the strap draped asymmetrically over one shoulder. The gown ran into a thigh-high slit running down one leg, with the sheer fabric continuing to the floor. She kept accessories minimal, just silver drop earrings and a small purple bag.

Her hair was worn down in soft, straight strands. Her makeup featured magenta and purple tones, finished with a glossy ombre lip, and she completed the look with strappy heels.

The event tied into Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone universe, where she also features on the soundtrack alongside Fireboy DML, and BNXN. The film, directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and produced by Paramount Pictures, is set for release on January 15, 2027.

A few days earlier, Ayra met with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in New York. She wore a vintage Azzedine Alaïa striped bodycon mini dress from the designer’s 1992 collection, with an off-shoulder neckline and a geometric knit border along the top. The photos were taken in front of a white fireplace mantel with a model ferry placed on top, and she captioned the post simply “Mr Mamdani.”

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Has Been on a Fashion Streak This BBNaija Season

Published

on

Photo: Instagram/@ebuka

Each Sunday this BBNaija season 11, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu comes out in something new. No repeats so far.

He has moved between sharp Western suits and full traditional wear all season. One week its a tailored double-breasted jacket with a two-tone gradient finish, the next its a flowing agbada with embroidery running down the sleeves.

Photo: Instagram/@ebuka

The details are worth highlighting too. There’s a graphic maize motif stitched into a sky-blue suit, silver lattice sequin work on a black wrapper, and geometric patterns worked into denim fabric on an agbada. Several Nigerian designers have dressed him this season, including Mai Atafo, Deji & Kola, Ugo and Lisa Folawiyo.

He has also added extras to a few of the looks: a crystal-handled horsetail whip, layers of coral neck beads, sunglasses and a Louis Vuitton duffel bag.

Photo: Instagram/@ebuka

He opened the season on July 26, 2026, in a charcoal-to-off-white ombré double-breasted suit by Mai Atafo. The colour fading from dark at the shoulders to almost white by the ankle. He finished with a large black lapel bow and patent shoes

On August 9, 2026, he appeared on BBNaija in another look by Mai Atafo, this time in a black-and-white outfit built from a cropped boxy jacket, wide-legged trousers, and a tie trimmed with pearls, and accessorized with a Louis Vuitton Keepall bag.

Most recently, on September 6, 2026, he hosted the eviction show in a forest-green two-piece suit by Deji & Kola, worn under a windowpane trench coat lined in a floral print. He paired it with brown shades and matching leather shoes.

Season 11 still has weeks to go, and if Ebuka’s run so far is anything to go by, there are plenty more looks to come.
