Daring Elegance; Tacha’s Redefined Street Glam.

Tacha look

In the ever-evolving world of fashion, there are people who follow trends, and then there are those rare few who set them. Tacha falls squarely in the second group. Known for her bold, no-apologies sense of style, she recently stepped out in a look that effortlessly turned heads and redefined what it means to do glam in the city.

What Did Tacha Wear?

This time, she stepped out in a sequinned mini dress that commanded attention. It made a statement without being loud. The neckline softened the drama with a touch of elegance, revealing her shoulders and balancing the mini hemline. It is the kind of dress that makes you feel like the life of the party even if the party is nowhere near.

As if the dress wasn’t enough, Tacha took it a step higher and elevated the outfit by layering with a faux fur coat, draped casually yet strikingly over her shoulders. The coat’s deep grey shade softened the brightness of the sequins just enough to make the whole outfit feel cohesive, not chaotic.

The Right Type of Shoes Always Wins

Tacha’s choice of black patent slingback heels is proof that the right shoes can carry a look. They are sleek, pointed, and impossibly stylish. They mirrored the sparkle in her dress without competing with it, while the delicate slingback strap added just the right amount of sass. They’re elegant and they added just enough height to command attention without looking like she was trying too hard.

Accessorize with the Right Attitude

Tacha did not just wear the right dress; she used the right accessories.

Her silver drop earrings were just the right kind of  bold, peeking out just enough from her ponytail to add balance to her face. And the sunglasses? Main character attitude. They scream confidence and mystery in the best possible way. They did not just shield her eyes from the sun, they told a story.

The silver mini bag she carried is a tiny showstopper on its own. It ties in with the shine of the dress but has its own moment. It’s compact, stylish, and totally functional. Plus, who doesn’t love a mini bag that still makes a major statement?

Tacha has always done the right kind of makeup. Her makeup was soft and sculpted;a warm nude lip, defined cheekbones, and a gentle smokey eye that pulled everything together without overpowering the outfit.

Black Dandyism Is Back: Why Bimbo Ademoye’s Oversized Suit Is Peak Fashion Inspiration

Published

Bimbo Ademoye just gave every stylist in Lagos something to work with. In her latest Instagram post, the Nollywood actress traded her usual tight, body-con looks for a suit that swallowed her whole. She captioned it: “Stay small enough long enough, because soon enough, you’d be big enough to.”

She wore a matching two-piece set in a neutral mocha-tan color. The oversized blazer had broad, structured shoulders and buttoned low at the waist. She paired it with wide-legged trousers, cut high at the waist, that fell all the way to the floor.

Her hair from Hair by Tosin was a long, bone-straight wig tucked neatly behind her ears. Her makeup by Glam by Morgan combined earthy tones with a deep berry-red lip. Her accessories stayed minimal: a scarlet New York Yankees cap, a red Dolce & Gabbana handbag in a trapezoidal shape, gold hoops, a bracelet, a few rings, and black leather loafers.

The look also connects with the wider history of Black dandyism, where clothes have often been a way to express identity and self-expression. It goes beyond oversized suits and menswear-inspired pieces, with a history tied to culture, status and the ways Black people use fashion to present themselves.

Bimbo’s outfit picks up on some of those ideas through its strong tailoring and oversized proportions, without necessarily making it a Black dandyism look. The wide blazer and trousers take familiar menswear shapes and give them a different feel, while her cap, red handbag and other styling choices make the outfit feel personal to her.

Corsets have been her signature for years, waist cinched and shape on full display in almost every red carpet look. This time, she let all of it disappear into layers of oversized fabric.
