Liquorose Just Reminded Us Why Black Wins Every Time

Published

on

When I think of the color black, it used to feel dull, too serious, and honestly a bit boring. It was always the “funeral shade” or the “safe option” for people who didn’t want to risk messing up their white clothes. I never really saw the beauty in it—until Liquorose came along and flipped the script. She made black feel bold, expressive, and yes, the perfect way to stand out.

She changed my mindset about black, inspired me and I’m certain with the list of black outfits I’m about to share, you too will get inspired from this piece. Now, don’t tell me you don’t know what to wear when you have a black piece because with these outfits, styling won’t be difficult for you. For every appearance, Liquorose showed us black can be anything. In this article, let’s take a closer look at how she turned the darkest shade on the color wheel into her personal runaway, and why black has never looked this good.

One Shoulder Mini Dress Moment

Liquorose wore a black mini dress with a smooth, fitted silhouette. She captioned it “Black dress is a 10,” and honestly, she delivered. The one shoulder design gave the dress a perfect drama. The feather detail on the other side made the outfit look like a red-carpet show. Her flared skirt adds beauty. To sum it all up, her makeup and statement earrings made me realize she didn’t just wear the outfit, she owned it.

Chic Elegance

She didn’t stop at one outfit. She rocked a high neck, long sleeved black top that fitted her perfectly well. There was nothing added to the outfit, but Liquorose’s confident appearance made the outfit shine even in a black color.

She spiced things up with large hoop earrings and a bold cuff. Is that all? Definitely not. Her sleek bob hair framed her face, making the look move from 100 to 1000.

Cultural Meets Contemporary

If anyone told me a traditional outfit would look this good, I wouldn’t believe it one bit. A masterpiece styled by the popular Fashion designer, Prudent Gabriel, Liquorose outfit gave a perfect mix of culture and modern fashion. At the recent Headies Africa Awards, she wore a black fitted dress paired with a wide sleeves that adds a touch of white at the edges. She accessorized the outfit with a white pearl necklace and the striped daring headpiece spoke louder than words. This is not just ordinary fashion, it’s art and heritage in one body.

Fearless Fashion Forward

No one told me black could look sexy. With just one outfit, she showed us that you can slay in any color and black is not an exempt. She was spotted in a black mesh top with a high waisted shorts that accentuated her curves. As if that was not enough, she added a feathered black shawl which gave it a dramatic look. She completed the look with a colorful necklace.

The Boss Chic Vibe

If you’re a fashion enthusiast and you like a bold power outfit, she just made it easier for you in this power outfit. In the post, she wore an oversized black blazer layered over a black top. Then, she finished things off with a laid-back sleek hair and earrings that made the outfit pop. She carried a silver purse to complete the outfit. This outfit looked powerful without her even trying too hard. Going for a business date? You should try this on.

Conclusion

Black might not be the brightest color. But when Liquorose wore it, she changed the whole narrative. With these outfits, she has showed not just me, but all of us, that black can be whatever you want it to be. With the right styling, everything becomes much better. And if anyone dares argue with you that black is not a good color, you know what to do. Show them Liquorose picture. Now, over to you, Which of these looks is your fave?
