Uzor Arukwe, Idia Aisien and Others at the Bridgerton Season 4 Premiere in South Africa
The Bridgerton Season 4 premiere in South Africa was not just another stop on a global press tour. The location and the guest list mattered and the way African creatives showed up mattered the most. With Uzor Arukwe, Idia Aisien, Shine Rosman, Efe Irele, and other familiar faces in attendance, suffice it to say, Nigeria was well represented.

Shine Rosman brought her own regency-era inspired interpretation of the event in a gown designed by Lasosa. The gown is a combination of fuschia and deep burgundy. It has a detailed waist silhouette with a form fitting strapless fuschia bodice. A voluminous draped burgundy overskirt with ruffled red trim at the front. She pairs this look with a medium sized fuschia hand fan and matching gloves. Her hair style came with a bit of drama. Minimal accessories and a soft face glam.

Uzor Arukwe arrived looking assured. His outfit did not fight for attention. He wore a tailored deep blue tailcoat featuring intricate black and gold embroidery on the cuffs and collar and matching pants. A waistcoat with gold and white pattern in front. The shirt was a white, high-collared dress shirt with cravat at the neck. He was accessorised with black glasses, formal shoes, a gold chain detail on his jacket, and a black walking cane. The outfit sat well on his frame and kept proportions intact.

Idia Aisien approached the night looking like a Bridgerton. She wore a regal, period-style ball gown. The colour of the dress was a deep emerald green, likely velvet fabric which provides a rich texture. This is complemented by gold with a mix of green patterns used for the center panel of the dress. The bodice is a structured gold corset design. The sleeves are short and puffed that extended into opera-length green gloves with gold designs at the wrists. She accessorised with a black fascinator.

Efe Irele interpreted the Afro-couture masquerade theme of the event in her mint-green ball gown with yellow and green floral appliques. It was off-shoulder, sweetheart neckline. The dress has long flowing sleeves that drape elegantly to the ground. Her hair updo is the center of attention. She captioned the image “The sunset in Africa” and it was well reflected in her makeup. Sunset-toned eyeshadow.
Together, the guests turned the evening into a celebration of African creativity, where period inspiration met contemporary design.

Diana Eneje’s Bubble Skirt Has Main Character Energy
In a recent Instagram post shared on Saturday, June 20, 2026, Nigerian model and influencer Diana Eneje showed that a casual look can still have main character energy. During a visit to Blank Space she took a simple bodysuit and paired it with a bubble skirt that came with a tie.
She wore a pink long sleeve bodysuit with a casual checker bubble skirt with a pink tie detail that added structure to the outfit. She complemented the look with silver Adidas Samba OG sneakers paired with white ankle socks.

For accessories, she carried a Louis Vuitton Nano Alma monogram bag which featured a printed LV scarf at the handle. She completed the look with a Messika Move 18-karat white gold diamond necklace, gold bracelets and a gold chain layered on her outfit.
Her hair was styled half up hairstyle with a center part. Her makeup was neutral with a glossy lip finish.

The bodysuit worked balanced the volume of the bubble skirt, giving the outfit a clear contrast in shape. Keeping the footwear casual with Adidas Samba OG sneakers and white ankle socks also made the look feel suited for a daytime outing rather than a dressier occasion
This look is different from the strapless gold and black bubble dress with a metallic gold bow drape she wore in May.

Chioma Ikokwu’s Hertunba Look Is All About Texture
Chioma Ikokwu, entrepreneur, lawyer, and Real Housewives of Lagos star, attended the opening of Africa Now at Galeries Lafayette in Paris on June 19, 2026. The event celebrated African designers on an international stage, spotlighting names like Adama Paris, Sisters of Africa, Christy Brown, and Ibrahim Fernandez. Hosted at one of Europe’s most renowned luxury department stores, the gathering provided African designers with an opportunity to present their work to an international audience.

Photo: Instagram
For the occasion, Chioma wore Hertunba, a Nigerian fashion brand, in their Mowa corset top paired with the Ure skirt. Both pieces came in the same vertical-striped fabric. The skirt added another layer with its asymmetric hem and a waist detail, the stripes breaking and restarting at odd points instead of running in one continuous line.

For accessories, she opted for gold bangles, gold drop earrings, and a gold necklace with a diamond pendant. She matched her outfit with a Chanel metallic gold Kelly shopper bag while gold strappy heels complemented the look. Her hair was styled in a high ponytail with a curled front piece swept to the side, and her makeup featured natural tones, pink blush, and glossy nude lips.

Chioma never misses an opportunity to champion Africa designers on the international stage. While in London for a wedding, she wore a custom black velvet gown by Nigerian designer Amy Aghomi, a strapless silhouette with a sweetheart neckline, one shoulder draped in black sequins, and a beaded waist. As she wrote in her caption on Instagram, “As someone who has always championed African fashion, seeing our designers celebrated within one of Europe’s most renowned luxury retail destinations felt deeply meaningful. It was a beautiful reminder that African excellence belongs on every global stage.”
