The Civil Wedding: Less Is More.

Not every bride can pull off understated elegance, but Priscilla made it look effortless. For the civil ceremony, she opted for a chic white high-low gown with a one-shoulder neckline, simple, sophisticated, and oh-so-classy. Paired with soft glam makeup and a dainty fascinator, she proved that sometimes, less really is more.

The Nigerian Aso-Oke Showstopper: Royalty in Purple

Just when we thought she couldn’t outdo herself, Priscilla hit us with this masterpiece. Back on Nigerian soil, she stunned in a regal purple aso-oke creation, adorned with delicate pink beadwork that screamed “Yoruba princess vibes.” Juma, never one to be outshined, matched her in a custom agbada embroidered with an African map motif, because if you’re going to make a statement, why not go all out? That ceremonial staff Juma held like the king he is. This wasn’t just an outfit; it was a cultural flex, and we were here for it.

Beaded Garden Fantasy: When Haute Couture Meets Tradition

Imagine a dress so breathtaking it belongs in a museum. That was Priscilla’s beaded garden gown, a sculpted, corseted masterpiece with intricate floral illusion mesh detailing. The deep maroon gele added a regal touch, making her look like she stepped straight out of a fashion editorial.

This was more than a wedding dress; it was art. If the Met Gala had a “Bridal Royalty” theme, Priscilla would’ve been the undisputed star.

With its high-neck lace, dramatic sleeves, and delicate sparkle detailing, it hugged her like it was sewn by angels (and let’s be real, Veekee James might just be one).

Set against a dreamy floral altar, this was the kind of bridal moment that makes you believe in fairy tales. We’re not crying, you’re crying.

“I love an outfit that is well made and an absolute showstopper.” Idia Aisien says in her recent Instagram post. She steps out in a handwoven two-piece by the Nigerian brand Eki Kere. It perfectly reflects the theme “When culture meets fashion” The kind that invites the viewer to appreciate the beauty of cultural craftsmanship to appreciate the beauty in culture and nature.

Photo: Instagram

The look is simple at first glance. A light gold cropped top paired with a matching midi skirt. But the details show traditional artistry. It appears to be handwoven, with visible fringe texture that suggests craftsmanship rather than factory finishing.

The top is structured, cut just above the waist. It fits close without looking tight. The neckline is clean and modest, a soft square shape that opens up the collarbone area while remaining modest.

The skirt sits high on the waist and falls straight down with a slit that runs up to the thigh.

Hair and makeup are kept simple. Her hair was worn down in soft waves and pulled back neatly to highlight the neckline. Makeup was kept in neutral tones. Her jewelry was minimal.

Her shoe is a key highlight of her overall outfit. She wore a white slingback heel.

This is where culture is expressed in a practical way. Èkì Kéré is known for working with textiles that reference Nigerian heritage. Instead of turning cultural symbols into costumes, the brand translates them into pieces that can be worn in everyday settings.

Here, heritage is visible in the handwoven fabric, while the clean cut keeps the design modern. On Idia Aisien, the two-piece feels current and rooted in tradition.

The jacket is built from different washes of upcycled denim, with raw visible stitching and multiple large utility pockets all through. His bottoms are long wide-leg denim cargo shorts with asymmetrical panels of light and medium wash denim stitched together, continuing the same patchwork theme as the jacket. On his feet are custom Timberland-style boots modified with denim patchwork overlays on the toe and sides, white crew socks, and a tan baseball cap on his head.

Little Amirion wore a miniature version of the same reconstructed denim jacket, with the same panelled design and breast pockets with a white tee underneath, matching patchwork denim shorts, and small custom boots with the same denim patchwork detailing as his dad’s pair.
