on

Black jeans are one outfit that won’t ever break your heart – they are simple, sleek, stylish, can be paired with almost every outfit – even that crop top you’ve hidden in your wardrobe.

Black jeans are a must-have wardrobe essential for every fashionista that want to take simple outfits from simple and regular to sophisticated and in this article, we’ll be discussing six different ways to style your black jean outfit so you can go from corporate baddie to slaying Gen Z in moments!

The Corporate Clean Look

This look gives ‘’I might be booked and busy but I’ll still slay.’’ You step into the room and the atmosphere shifts, heads are turning, gazes are being fixed, everyone just knows that you are not here to play. You command attention without needing to raise your voice!

How to Pair This Look:

  • High-waist black skinny or straight jeans – Make sure to go for black wash jeans without fades and rips.
  • White or neutral button-down shirt – Whether it is cotton or silk, make sure it has a crisp and neat finish so you stand out.
  • Blazer – Make sure to add color here, whether it’s royal blue or emerald or even mustard or if you want something minimal, you can work with neutral colors like grey, black or beige.
  • Accessories – Pair with pearl studs, a signature watch and minimalist chains.
  • Shoes – Finish off this look with block heels, pointed flats or polished loafers.

Body Type Tip:

If you have a curvy stature, make sure to wear stretchy jeans so your curves are defined. For a straight structured body type, opt for a blouse with a wrap detail or ruched sides — it gives the illusion of a defined waist while staying on trend.

Where to Rock This:

  • Office wear
  • Meetings and presentations
  • Networking events
  • Church services
  • Corporate get-togethers

The Casual Flex

This gives the vibe of ‘’I’m the cool friend who goes with the flow but still slays’’ You are that friend that always knows what to wear, the type that everyone calls when they need to go out. This is the vibe of the soft life advocates and even if you bump into your crush with this look, you still look good!

How to Pair This Look:

  • Oversized or ripped black jeans – Whether you decide on distressed knees or frayed hems, they work fine for this vibe.
  • Graphic t-shirts, oversized t-shirts or crop tops – From soft cotton to jersey fabrics, pair your black jeans with any of these for a chill vibe.
  • Comfortable footwear – From sneakers to palm slippers, crocs or even slides, the key here is comfort.
  • Accessories – Finish this look with waist bags, chunky bangles, signature rings or your favorite sunglasses.

Body Type Tip:

If you have a petite body type, then you should consider pairing oversized jeans with fitted tops like crop tops for a balanced look. If you are taller or have a fuller body type, try oversized t-shirts on oversized jeans. Also make sure to cinch the waist with a belt or you can knot the shirt so it looks structured.

Where to Rock This:

  • Campus
  • Café meetings
  • Casual errands
  • Shopping days
  • Campus hangouts with friends
  • Local concerts or events

Tamunosoye Karibi-George just officially became the new Miss World Nigeria, and Bayelsa State has every reason to celebrate.

The 26-year-old was crowned at the grand finale held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, on Saturday night, June 6, 2026. She surpassed 19 other finalists to win the title. Although she represented Bayelsa State in the competition, Karibi-George is originally from Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The pageant, organised by the Silverbird Group, started with 37 contestants from different states. They went through a week-long camp that consisted of leadership training and community engagement activities, which also counted toward judging. The field eventually narrowed to 20 finalists. This year’s competition theme was “Pride, Power, and Purpose.”

Silverbird Group founder and former senator representing bayelsa east Ben Murray-Bruce broke the news on Sunday via a post on X, congratulating Karibi-George and highlighting her work outside of pageantry. He wrote: “WE HAVE A QUEEN! A new chapter begins. Please join us in celebrating TAMUNOSOYE KARIBI-GEORGE, representing Bayelsa State, as the newly crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026! More than a queen, Tamunosoye is a passionate advocate for change.

Through her initiative, Beyond Labels, she champions inclusion, dignity, and empowerment for children with special needs, creating safe spaces where every child is encouraged to dream boldly and realise that their circumstances do not define their future.”

Karibi-George takes over from Joy Raimi, who held the Miss World Nigeria 2025 title and represented Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad, India. Raimi finished in the Top 20 overall and was among the Top 5 contestants from Africa.
