Samod Koyin & Kola Omotoso Suit Up in Emmy Kasbit for Lagos Fashion Week
At Lagos Fashion Week 2025, former BBNaija Season 10 housemates Samod Koyin and Kola Omotoso made confident entrances in custom designs from Nigerian brand Emmy Kasbit, reaffirming the label’s steady rise in contemporary menswear.

Koyin – Instagram
Koyin arrived in a black two-piece set patterned with the brand’s signature monogram. The sleeveless top was matched with straight-cut trousers, creating a clean, structured look that stood out for its precision rather than embellishment. He kept his accessories understated, wearing silver jewellery and black leather shoes, giving the outfit room to register on its own. The look quickly appeared across Lagos Fashion Week photo reels and entertainment pages.

Kola – Instagram
Kola chose a navy three-piece from the same designer, detailed with hand-dyed stripes across the waistcoat. The design referenced Nigerian textile craft while keeping a sharp, modern outline. Worn with a crisp high-neck shirt, the outfit blended cultural texture with measured tailoring.
Their choice of designer was deliberate. Emmy Kasbit, under creative director Emmanuel Okoro, continues to build a reputation for weaving Nigerian heritage into refined, contemporary forms. The brand uses locally produced fabrics and modern tailoring to create clothing that reflects identity while maintaining universal appeal.

Koyin – Instagram
Lagos Fashion Week offered the right setting for that expression. The event, now a fixture on Africa’s fashion calendar, attracts industry professionals, buyers, and journalists each year. Having Koyin and Omotoso wear Emmy Kasbit on one of the biggest nights of the week put the label at the center of local and international attention. Their appearance aligned with a broader shift in Nigerian fashion, where designers and personalities choose authenticity and skill over spectacle.

Kola – Instagram
Online, photos from the night spread fast. Style pages and blogs highlighted both men as examples of how Nigerian designers are redefining menswear through craftsmanship and thoughtful presentation. It wasn’t an overplayed moment; it was a clear one: Nigerian men can attend major fashion events in locally made pieces that rival anything produced abroad.
For Emmy Kasbit, it was another visible win in a growing portfolio. For Koyin and Omotoso, it marked a step toward owning a style narrative rooted in identity and intention.

There’s Something About Black Women and Fringe and Big Hair,’ Says Sharon Ooja
If there’s anyone who truly understands how to pull off fringe and voluminous hair as if they’re made just for her, it’s Sharon Ooja, and this recent outfit left wondering why we don’t see more of this.

Sharon Ooja: Instagram
Sharon posted on Instagram in a mini black dress that halted everyone mid-scroll. It had geometric patches, pieces of burgundy and tan sewn together across the fabric. But it was that fringe at the bottom that brought it to life. The sort that injects movement and texture, without overwhelming the rest of the look. She kept the sleeveless silhouette simple, which was probably the perfect choice. With all that texture and print going on, the dress didn’t require anything extra vying for attention.

Sharon Ooja: Instagram
Here’s what made everything click: her hair. Sharon wore her natural curls big, voluminous, and completely unfiltered. There’s something about Black women with voluminous hair that refuses to shrink itself. It’s powerful in a way that carried a hint of retro flair.
The outfit had that retro flair too. This was not simply Sharon flaunting yet another look. It was a reminder of how it feels to lean into texture, movement, and your own natural beauty. Only Black women understand this. Some outfits are about clothing. This was about knowing what works and wearing it as if it’s yours.
