Veekee James Bold Jersey Look Made a Statement

Published

on

Famous fashion designer Veekee James never ceases to amaze her audience with bold fashion statements. And with this sporty outfit, she’s proven once again that even a jersey can steal the spotlight — when it’s styled right.

Following her recent post, she captioned it “Hard enough for you?” This outfit was styled by Supersuave Style. Veekee stepped out in a bold, fashion-forward look that turned casual sportswear into a full glam moment, and honestly, we haven’t gotten over her look.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the standout details we love about this look:

The Jersey Dress

Veekee James wore an oversized jersey-inspired dress in crisp white with blue details. The number “09” was right in front, giving off that vintage athletic energy. The sleeves and hemline were lined with matching blue stripes, which added extra structure and symmetry to the relaxed silhouette.

She slayed it as a mini dress, and with the right layering and confidence, she switched things up from casual to couture. This is definitely one way to mix sporty streetwear into fashion week style.

Layered Accessories

One of the things that beautified her outfit was her accessories. They were layered, bold, and intentional. From  pearls necklace to long metallic chains and cross pendants, each necklace added a unique touch of richness. Her look was adorned with chunky bangles and rings that matched the same energy — bold yet curated.

This wasn’t just ordinary jewelry — it commanded attention.

The Statement Bag

To complete her look, Veekee carried a gold mini handbag — small in size but heavy in impact. It added a luxurious contrast to the jersey, which made the entire look feel intentional and polished.

Black Tights + Boots Combo

Choosing sheer black tights gave the outfit an elegant look while keeping her legs covered, and the knee-high black boots brought power to the mix. The contrast between the softness of the tights and the boots balanced the outfit and kept it fierce.

Beauty Look: Hair, Makeup, Sunglasses

This trio elevated her whole look. Her curly bun showed off the accessories, while her makeup gave a glowing finish. Glossy lips, sculpted cheekbones, and those lashes? Epic.

To top it all off, she wore a pair of retro gold sunglasses that gave off celebrity-off-duty energy. She didn’t just wear the outfit — she owned it.

Conclusion

Veekee James is not the one to follow trends — she’s the trendsetter. Turning a jersey into a runway ensemble only proves that confidence, creativity, and great styling can make anything fashionable.

Chioma Ikokwu Honours Igbo Heritage in Two Outfits

Published

Chioma Ikokwu has always known how to make an entrance, but when she steps into culture, she does it with purpose. Recently, she appeared in two outfits that paid clear, unapologetic tribute to her Igbo roots, not as costumes. She captioned the pictures “I love my culture” and “When culture meets fashion.”

The first look is a traditional wedding inspired look. The top is a red off-shoulder, corset-style beaded detailing in front paired with a long, white, layered wrapper with a voluminous, ruffled design around the waist and hips, creating a dramatic silhouette. She finishes this look with her beret-style beaded hat, coral beads around her neck and wrist and a horse tail to make it a full royal regalia.

Her second look was a rich red Isiagu wrapper draped style. The top is a corset made style with a tree root illusion. The bottom features a red draped velvet that mimics double-layered skirts. The skirt is designed with a lion head (Isiagu) strategically placed on it. It’s a prominent motif in Igbo traditional wear signifying strength, royalty, power, and authority. She completes this look with a matching gele, a choker necklace, and black beaded handbag.

The highlight of her second outfit is the styling. Isiagu hasn’t been styled in that way before. She went further to ask a question in her post “Have you ever seen the Igbo Isiagu staple interpreted this way before?”

Wearing Isi Agu isn’t new. But presenting it like this, on this kind of platform, with this kind of calm assurance, is powerful. It reminds us once again that tradition doesn’t belong to the past. It belongs to whoever carries it and how you want it to be reflected.

These outfits were worn for a significant cultural event; for the chieftaincy title celebration of her father and her cousin Obi Cubana in Oba, Anambra.
