'Gingerrr’ Premiere with a Peaky Blinders Dress Code

The premiere of ‘Gingerrr‘ brought cinema and fashion into the same together, with the reference for dress code as Peaky Blinders. Guests leaned into structure, layering, and monochromatic colours that radiates charisma.

Ini Dima styled by Okolo Obiechina of Swazzi

Ini Dima-Okojie arrived in white styled by Okolo Obiechina of Swazzi. Wide-leg trousers, a tailored coat, and a pearl-fringed hat set the tone, while the walking stick in her hand completed a look that was more character study than accessory play.

Lily Afegbai wearing LDM

Lily Afegbai chose a plaid suit from LDM that showed how sharply a pattern can be cut. The jacket carried sharp lines, trousers fell neatly over her shoes, and the whole suiting balanced strict tailoring with ease.

Bisola wearing SOMO

Bisola Aiyeola, who also produced the film, wore a custom SOMO design. Her structured dress ran perfectly into matching knee-high boots, the two pieces working together as if they were one continuous garment.

Adesua Etomi wearing House of Julyet Peters

Adesua Etomi made a return to public events in ivory from House of Julyet Peters. An overcoat layered on a sleeveless vest dress in fine wool, the minimalism of tone allowed the sharpness of cut to do the work.

Kie Kie wearing Soft AIV Couture

Kie Kie turned the theme into theatre with a trench coat from Soft AIV Couture. She leaned into the mafia-boss mood, a cigarette in mouth, and the attitude to make it convincing.

Timi Egbuson styled by Yomo Daj.

Timini Egbuson, delivered on the theme, styled by Yomo Daj. His three-piece tailored set mirrored the original Peaky Blinders look, from the proportion of the waistcoat to the fall of the trousers.

Bolaji Ogunmola wearing LDM

Bolaji Ogunmola, another co-producer, stood out in butter-yellow LDM tailoring. The three-piece carried the same formal cut, but the choice of colour gave it a memorable edge.

Every look on the carpet came back to detail: coats with weight, hats with authority, boots and cigars used not as accessories but as part of the language of the night. ‘Gingerrr’ asked for ‘Peaky Blinders,’ and the Lagos premiere delivered it with discipline and character.

What Dede Ashiogwu Wears When She Wants to Be Heard

Published

on

Dede Ashiogwu has mastered a presence that people notice before they even realise it. She leans on black the way some rely on words, choosing shades that carry authority on their own. This week she reminded her followers of that pull with a short note on Instagram: “Make them stop and stare.”

She skipped the usual glamour settings and kept things stripped back, offering no locations or event hints, just a plain background that put her and the outfit front and centre.

Dede Ashiogwu – Instagram

Every part of the look feels deliberate. She chose a long black wool-blend suit-dress. It’s double-breasted, drawn in at the waist, and shaped with structured shoulders that give it clear definition. A white collar and cuffs break the darkness, joined by a narrow tie that anchors the look.

The surprise comes from the fringe: long strands hanging from the sleeves, torso, and hem, adding subtle flow to a carefully composed design. Changing the outline just enough to guide the eye, gold hoops and tortoiseshell shades provide warmth while her taper fade keeps the overall effect clean and composed.

Dede Ashiogwu – Instagram

Where bold patterns usually take the lead, Dede’s decision to keep it simple carries more impact than any bright print. The tailoring gives form without distraction, the fringe adds gentle energy, and the ensemble feels confident and intentional. She didn’t need a stage or a spotlight. The outfit spoke for itself, and it was impossible to look away.

Uche Montana Offers a Perfect Take on Wearing Leather

Published

on

At a time when many rely on exaggerated layering or oversized forms to grab attention, Uche Montana demonstrates a different approach something rooted in clean, balanced structure. Her recent outfit is put together with clear direction, showing a preference for pieces that work together logically.

Uche Montana: Instagram

The cropped dark leather jacket sets the tone for the look. Its firm shape outlines the upper body, creating a controlled shoulder line while narrowing visually at the waist. By keeping the jacket short and clean-cut, she creates a clean line that naturally draws the eye to the fitted black top beneath it. The mix is clean and purposeful, so the outfit feels focused.

Uche Monatana: Instagram

For the lower half, she opts for black leggings, a decision that avoids visual breaks and keeps the body’s outline continuous. This uncluttered base allows the boots to stand out with intention. The tall brown boots add balanced weight to the look without introducing heaviness. Their tone pairs with the jacket in a way that adds dimension but avoids duplication, reinforcing the outfit’s balanced structure.

Her accessories are purposeful and minimal compact sunglasses, subtle jewelry, and a small circular bag. Each item supports the outfit instead of distracting from it. Overall, Uche’s appearance shows a styling mindset centred on order, measured design, and choices that are clear rather than excessive.
