Behind the Scenes” Premiere Embraces a Fresh Floral Mood
The premiere of Behind the Scenes delivered a vivid display of creativity, with the cast and invited guests interpreting the evening’s theme Bloom Elegance: Evening Glam with Floral Accents in thoughtful, expressive ways. The atmosphere carried a clear sense of intention, and the fashion on display brought the theme into focus through soft floral elements, hand-worked detailing, and colour tones reminiscent of an evening garden.

Mercy Eke, dressed in Savon Dejana, set the evening’s pace with an assured red gown. Ini Dima-Okojie leaned fully into the theme, finishing her look with a delicate flower crown that added quiet theatricality. Kie Kie appeared in a white dress with green and blush floral accents by Atùnbí by Mayókún, mixing a defined shape with gentle detailing. Liquorose stepped out in a bold red piece by Maya Stitches, offering a more directional interpretation of the night. Uche Montana kept her cut clean in a floor-length VENUS dress, while Chimezie Imo, wore a customer made piece by Fai World, introduced a 1970s influence that gave the group a refreshing shift in tone.

With Behind the Scenes arriving in cinemas on December 12th, the premiere set the mood for what the film hopes to bring. Below, we highlight the selections that captured the spirit of Bloom Elegance.

It’s that time of the year when red becomes dominant colour, but what stands out is the way many celebrities wear it. Mercy Eke channels the festive theme in a stunning red dress as she attends the movie premiere of “The Night Market” hosted by Papaya_ex.

In her Instagram post, she captioned it: “If the dress doesn’t say main character, I don’t know what does.”

She’s wearing a custom-designed sculptural gown by Amy Aghomi. It is made of a fiery red fabric and appears to be heavily embellished with crystal “stone” beads. The bodice is sleek, strapless, well-fitted, and cinched at the waist. The gown is flowing into layered swirls, creating a trumpet silhouette.

What makes this outfit exceptional is the distinctive, large, structured, hood-like frame covering her shoulders and face. It creates an artistic effect while maintaining elegance. She finished this look with matching red pointed-toe heels. She kept a simple yet statement accessory. Her neckpiece and chunky bangles made the dress stand out.

The outfit works so well because it aligns with the season creating, a direct nod to the holiday theme. Also, the confidence with which she carries the look gives the outfit presence. A dress can look beautiful on a mannequin but it truly has impact when the wearer feels comfortable and joyful and that is the kind of energy Mercy exudes in this dress.

Liquorose shared a new carousel on her verified Instagram, captioned “VIRTUOSO,” quickly drawing thousands of likes and comments. The posts highlight her inventive approach to holiday fashion, combining classic pieces with bold, contemporary details.

She wears a white long-sleeve shirt, held together only by thick cord lacing from collarbone to just below the navel, leaving her midriff exposed. A layered fabric rosette on the left chest adds three-dimensional interest, while narrow silver metallic panels run vertically from shoulders to hem. The sleeves puff from shoulder to cuff, creating volume, which contrasts with the fitted torso.

Her high-waisted dark indigo denim trousers make a striking statement. Loose at the hips, they flare dramatically down the thighs and reach the floor, lightly gathering at the hem. Side cargo pockets and visible top-stitching introduce subtle texture, emphasizing the trousers’ wide proportions and balancing the outfit.

Accessories are minimal, focusing attention on the clothing. She wears oversized silver hoop earrings, a short black pixie haircut with styled baby hairs, matte red lipstick, and soft pink nails. She wears no bag, belt, necklace, bracelet, or watch, allowing the outfit’s structure and contrasts to speak for themselves.

The look is defined by juxtaposition: structured white fabric and metallic accents set against raw indigo denim; tight lacing offset by flowing trousers. The crisp white-and-blue combination creates a refined, visually engaging ensemble that reinterprets holiday style in a bold yet approachable way, showing that experimenting with proportions and textures can be both striking and sophisticated.
