Nimi Nwofor’s Black and White Moment

Nimi Nwofor, an Abuja-based mother of fantastic five, has always been making waves on Instagram. She has worked with brands to create signature outfits. Fashion is one way that she expresses herself. She has also used her latest picture to explain that her own kind of beauty is her superpower.

Nimi Nwofor
She’s wearing an oversized white button-down shirt and it’s got floral appliques on it that started near her chest. It wasn’t the office shirt that we usually get to see in the morning and it was completely new because of all the flower detail.
She added a black belt to her waist to give it some shape because this oversized look can loose it’s fitting if not balanced right.
She teamed it with black leggings and high knee-patent boots. The boot was very shiny. The footwear choice she made fits more than sneakers or flats.
Regarding accessories, Nimi was not carrying much – just a mini black Chanel bag, a pair of sunglasses that had white stripes at the side, and a gold wristwatch on her wrist.

Nimi Nwofor
Her long hair is very straight in appearance to others. The only thing with a real catch for my eye was the classic bold red lipstick, reminding me about how black and white don’t have to look boring. Colour sometimes can pull a look together.
What’s great about it all is that it’s something you can wear whether you’re going to breakfast, lunch, a meeting, or simply shopping. Its adaptability is what caused it to resonate with us.
For Nimi, fashion appears to be about discovering what suits her and adhering to it. As a mother managing her life in Abuja and establishing herself in the fashion world, this outfit demonstrates her ability to look great for herself without needing approval from others.
And that’s likely what she intended when she expressed that she embodies her own type of beauty.

Alex Unusual’s Green Dress from the Weekend Is Still on Our Mind

These days, the weekend moves faster and Monday comes knocking at our door. Most of us deal with this by complaining or sleeping off. However, Alex Unusual chose to deal with it by wearing a green dress that has not left our minds. She shared this picture earlier this week, and we cannot stop gushing about it.

Alex Unusual
The dress is simple, strapless, short, and detailed with a bold pattern across it. To add to the design, there’s a flower detail that rested on one side of her chest, like it belonged there. The outfit is fitted at the top and slightly flared at the end. She wore bright green heels that matched perfectly. Her hair was not left out on this one. The long loose waves framed her face beautifully, and she accessorized with simple jewellery.
Green is one of those colours that can go wrong if not done right. You can wear the wrong shade, and it might end up looking washed out. But this green worked because of the bold pattern on it.
Alex is over six feet tall, but she uses it to her advantage instead of trying to fight it. The short hem doesn’t look like it’s trying to be sexy, it just looked right on her. The heels, hair, the accessories; everything about the look made so much sense.
According to her caption, she mentioned how the weekend barely started before Monday was already calling. She also said the year feels like it’s on fast forward, and she showed up with grace regardless. With this green dress and those matching heels, she proved it. Sometimes showing up with grace is just about getting dressed well, even when everything else moves with speed.

From Temi Otedola, Davido and Other Nigerians at the BoF Gala

The 2025 Business of Fashion (BoF) 500 Gala in Paris brought together industry figures from around the world, and several Nigerians were part of this year’s moment. The BoF 500, an annual index by the Business of Fashion, recognizes people shaping the global fashion, design, and creative industries.
Among the Nigerians included in the 2025 list are Ayra Starr, Tems, Danliel Obasi, Grace Ladoja, Seni Saraki, and Teezee. Their selection reflects the growing visibility of Nigerian voices in international fashion, music, and creative production.
Ayra Starr and Tems, both award-winning musicians, were recognized for their influence beyond music, particularly in shaping youth culture and style. Their inclusion followed a year of major achievements, including global tours, brand collaborations, and expanding recognition across entertainment and fashion media.
Daniel Obasi, a visual artist and stylist known for his work on music videos and editorial projects, was also named in the 2025 list. His contribution continues to connect Nigerian fashion and art to wider creative networks. Grace Ladoja, a long-time figure in London’s creative scene and co-founder of the management company Metallic Inc, was recognized for her work in artist development and cultural advocacy.
Other honorees, Seni Saraki and Teezee, have been central to Nigeria’s growing creative and nightlife scene through their roles in the management and promotion of local culture.
The BoF Gala, which celebrates members of the annual list, saw several Nigerian attendees, including Temi Otedola and Davido, both present at the event. Otedola wore a custom design from Nigerian label KÍLẸ̀ŃTÀR, while Davido appeared among other international artists and creatives at the Paris event.
The inclusion of these Nigerians in the BoF 500 and their visibility at the gala underline how the country’s creative sector continues to gain recognition on global platforms, not as outsiders but as active contributors to the wider cultural conversation.

Teminikan Experiments with Geometry in a Woven Mini

There are some outfits that demands a second glance and that is exactly what Teminikan did here. Her recent look is colourful and beautiful. The mini dress is a mix of colour in purple, orange, pink, and burgundy. It’s playful but still balanced.
The simple short sleeves, clean neckline, and tailored fit flatter her frame beautifully, finishing just above her knees.

Teminikan
Teminikan chose simplicity over excess, and that’s what makes it better. She paired it with gold earrings, a few bangles, and a burgundy clutch that completes the look. Her strappy burgundy heels were a perfect match.
Her pixie hairstyle well arranged, keeping the focus on the colours and the pattern. The setting with the pink door and purple flowers complements the outfit perfectly. This look is a reminder that you don’t need excess to stand out.
With simple accessories and a confident presence, Teminikan shows that fashion can be expressive and refined. The checks could’ve easily clashed, but she wears them with ease. Teminikan proves that color experimentation can feel both confident and refined.
