She was born into the royal Waturuocha family of Aboh Mbaise on July 12, 1975. Rita was the youngest of four children, her father was a medical doctor while her mom was a nursing officer. Brought up from a background that values education, she started to show an early flair for performance- acting in school plays, before going ahead to study Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in 1999. From there, she picked up her acting career and she has never looked back.
