Everything You Missed from Wizkid’s G.O.A.T Experience
During the height of Detty December, Tafawa Balewa Square came alive for Wizkid’s G.O.A.T: The Greatest of All Time Experience, one of the most anticipated concerts of the year. Media coverage and official announcements confirmed the event, marking it as a headline performance in Lagos’s crowded year-end entertainment calendar.
By early evening, the venue was buzzing with energy. Longtime fans, younger listeners drawn by Wizkid’s international hits, and returnees in town for the holidays all filled the space. Observers noted that the crowd followed the performance closely, reacting to each song with attention rather than impulsive excitement.

Wizkid took the stage without a long lineup of opening acts. According to attendee reports and media coverage, there were no widely publicised guest appearances during the performance. His setlist spanned his career, moving from early hits that prompted loud sing-alongs to newer tracks delivered steadily. In some sections, fans carried parts of featured verses themselves, underscoring the show’s solo-led focus.
The stage featured multiple levels and a dominant LED screen. Fans near the front enjoyed clear sightlines and strong sound, while those farther back relied on the screen. Reports and social media commentary highlighted that the visuals, which included abstract imagery for long stretches, occasionally drew attention away from the performer in distant sections.

Post-event reactions captured the range of audience experiences. Some praised the show’s focus on Wizkid alone, while others noted challenges in visibility from the back. Discussions centred on engagement, sightlines, and how large venues influence the concert experience.
Organisers and city authorities confirmed additional transport and crowd control measures were implemented to manage turnout. Ticketing included an instalment payment option, publicly announced before the show, which some fans welcomed and others debated online. Both elements underscored the planning and logistics required for an event of this scale.

The response to The G.O.A.T Experience shows that audiences now look for more than just star power. Attendance and engagement confirmed Wizkid’s draw, but visibility, access, and production matter just as much. How a performance reaches every corner of the venue is now a key measure of success.
For Lagos’s concert scene, the event sets a new standard for solo-led shows. It illustrates how production, venue size, and audience placement intersect, providing insight into what fans will expect from similar large-scale performances in the future.

Asake Announces Fourth Album “M$NEY” Ahead of May 1 Release
Afrobeats artist, Asake is gearing up to release his fourth album, following his 2024 album “Lungu Boy” which achieved good success. The “lonely at the top” singer is set to drop this new album on May 1st, 2026.

“M$NEY” marks his fourth studio album since his debut in 2022. He first ventured into the mainstream with a single “Lady” in 2020 and has since become one of Afrobeats’ most-streamed artists.
He released his debut album, “Mr Money With The Vibe” in 2022, which became a commercial success and strengthened his sound of Fuji-inspired vocals, street-hop, and Amapiano.
This fourth album is his first project under his label. He announced on Instagram the date, dropping a video of a stone carver, Dutch sculptor Athar Jabar, working on what seems to be his cover art.
Jabar said the project required a careful approach, given Asake’s public profile
“Working on the likeness of someone whose presence is so widely recognised brings a particular responsibility,” Jabar said. “That’s why, for this sculpture of Asake, I chose the prestigious Statuario marble from Carrara, Italy, and carved the entire piece by hand, following traditional methods without the use of power tools, in a slow and deliberate process.
It was a real pleasure to carve a portrait bust of Asake, and an honour to contribute to this moment in his career, as well as to a lasting record of his image in marble.”

Among the 13 tracks are previously released singles such as “Worship,” a collaboration with DJ Snake, “Why Love” “Badman Gangsta.”
M$NEY continues his blend of Fuji-inspired vocals, Amapiano rhythms, and Afrobeats.

Ayra Starr Walks Through The Jennifer Hudson Show Spirit Tunnel Like It’s Routine
Ayra Starr made her U.S. daytime TV debut on The Jennifer Hudson Show, walking the Spirit Tunnel in a plum latex dress before announcing her album Starr Girl.
She walked through the Spirit Tunnel as if the hallway were already hers, smooth, unhurried, fully in sync with the energy around her.

The Spirit Tunnel is the show’s signature welcome tradition: fans and crew line a narrow corridor, clapping, chanting, and dancing a guest all the way to the stage.
For Ayra, they went further with a personalised chant: “Ayra Starr! She got us all turning up! And the turn-up here at JHud! Wait! We hope she feels the love! Hey! Hey! It’s Ayra Starr! At the JHud, it’s Ayra Starr!” She matched it step for step, shoulder rolls, hand movements, bright smiles, without missing a beat.
Ayra wore a plum latex purple midi dress with a high neckline and a glossy finish. She paired it with black block platform heels, silver bangles, and drop earrings. Her hair was in a full high ponytail with soft curls falling around her face, and her makeup stayed clean, soft glam, and glossy lips.

What made the clip more fun was how she played along with the crowd with bright energy. By the time she reached the “On Air” door and onto the purple carpet, she had already delivered a full performance before the show even started.
Ayra Star knows how to make an unforgettable entrance. Whether on stage, the red carpet, or studio hallway.
